Airport Transfers Airport transfers can be arranged for US$90 one way for 2-3 people. Please note that this rate is liable to change dependent on market rates.

Banking Facilities The closest bank to The River House is the Commercial Bank or The Hatton National Bank in Ambalangoda town, 5 km away. Banks operate Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. til 3.00 p.m. but are closed on all Public holidays, Saturdays & Sundays

Check-In & Check-Out Check-in & check-out times are flexible dependant on suite availability. Please inform our manager if you require a late check out as late check out policies and rates apply, depending on our levels of occupancy.

Drivers & Personal Staff We regret we do not provide separate staff accommodation for valets/drivers/personal staff of guests on the property. Our manager can arrange accommodation for them close by at a minimum cost for which your driver/staff should be paid directly

First Aid & Medical Attention A first aid box is located at reception & some of our staff are First Aid qualified. The Balapitiya Base Hospital is located 5 minutes drive away from The River House and they have internationally qualified doctors on call 24 hours a day.

Flight Confirmation Re-confirmation of flight tickets can be arranged by us. Please hand over your flight details as you check in.

Insurance & Travel Documents You are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance, including full medical coverage, when you book your holiday. You will also need to ensure that you have a valid visa and passport for the duration of your stay in Sri Lanka.
