The Martin Wickramasinghe Folk Museum is an expansive house and garden that once belonged to Sri Lanka’s greatest folk author. It has now been converted into a museum that preserves his memories, accomplishments, traditional attire from various regions in Sri Lanka, along with puppets, masks and other intriguing artefacts from the past. The manicured garden and sheds that line one side of it preserve old vehicles and machinery that can’t possibly be found elsewhere.
When planning your excursions around Galle, stop by the museum for a quick tour, as it’s located about 30 minutes away in Koggala.
