Galapatha Rajamaha Viharaya

Galapatha Rajamaha Viharaya a prominent Buddhist temple and a lesser-known attraction in Induruwa; that makes it great for visiting during your stay at Taru Villas – Leela Waluwwa. The temple was believed to have been built in the 12th century AD but was destroyed in the 16th century during the Dutch invasion. The temple is home to stone carvings, murals and statues of the Buddha; the largest is a 25-foot reclining Buddha statue.
