Sri Lanka’s Response
Sri Lanka has introduced stricter measures than many countries, including nationwide curfews and lockdowns to control the spread of Covid-19 before it overwhelms the healthcare system. International arrivals into the island have been suspended and the government has set up quarantine centres to treat suspected cases. At the moment the measures the country has taken are working. Sri Lanka is a resilient nation and we are hopeful that the personal sacrifices that are made now will ensure that we can return to normal sooner rather than later.
