Madu Ganga

Located in the suburbs of Balapitiya, Madu Ganga is a treasure trove for nature enthusiasts. Thriving with exotic flora and fauna, the Madu Ganga is a large freshwater lake that is dotted with a number of islets. One such island is home to the Kothduwa Temple, which dates back to the days of the 14th century Dambadeniya Kingdom. Notable reptiles and mammals that glide and roam in and around the lake are snakes, lizards, crocodiles, and a myriad of avifauna.

Madu Ganga is approximately 26 minutes from Taru Villas - Leela Walauwwa.
