One of the most exciting and popular things to do in Mirissa is to embark on a whale watching excursion. Set sail to the depths of the ocean in search of the sea’s mightiest and most gentle giants on this wildlife safari. Mirissa is located approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes away from our villas in Tangalle, be it Taru Villas – Mawella or Taru Villas – The Tangalle Social. A Look into Whale Watching in Mirissa

Commonly spotted whale species include Blue Whales, Bryde Whales, Sperm Whales and more
Pods of Bottlenose and Spinner dolphins are often spotted, excitedly swimming alongside the boat.
Refreshments and life jackets will be provided to all our guests.
All whale watching boats leave the harbour at 6am.
