- Nilwella Island is approximately a 20-minute drive from our properties in Tangalle.
Nilwella Island is a rare land formation often known as a ‘tied island’, i.e. an island connected to the mainland. Located in proximity to the town of Matara, in the town of Dikwella, Nilwella Island is ideal for explorers in search of a private haven. Within the secret stretch of this island lies a pristine, private beach known as Blue Beach; that is true to its name, with beautiful blue waters that are perfect for a day out in the sun.
